Megan married her love in Jesus Peiro

Jesus Peiro

Megan what a joy you were to have in the boutique, as you can see above she smiled like this every single time we saw her. We are over the moon you had such a wonderful day.

Tell us about the proposal…
Even though we’d been together for 3 years, I genuinely didn’t see this coming! I’d booked a weekend in a Shepherds hut in Hay-on-Wye for Charlies birthday. We did a hike up Hay Bluff early doors, in August. No make-up on, gym kit, sweaty… you get the vibe! We walked about 30 mins to a viewing point and before I knew it, Charlie was reciting a poem with his 2nd last line being ‘I can’t imagine you not in my life….’ you get the rest!

Where did you get married and how did you pick the venue?
We went out to Mallorca on our annual summer holiday the following week, driving round the island and thought what an amazing place to have a wedding. We wanted something that’d last a few days as we have family &
friends from Aus, Dubai etc. We decided to visit a few venues and found one in the mountains which we instantly fell in love with. Venue: Son Berga, Alaro.

How did you find our Boutique?
I live in Warwick so I’d tried a few in the area. I had had some recommendations to visit also.

What made you decide your dress was the one & what did you love most about it?
After trying on about 20 dresses that morning, I literally said to my mum as we walked up to Bridal Boutique door “how are you supposed to know, they’re all nice’”! Tried a few more, then as soon as I tried on ‘the one’, I knew instantly. I didn’t want to take it off and it was the first time I actually felt ‘bridal’ rather than something I could wear to a ball or evening dinner. The collar is so unusual, I just loved it. I looked at dresses on social media for the next year, never found anything remotely close to this one. Very special!

How did you accessorise, ie, which shoes did you pick?
I found the accessorising quite hard. I knew I wanted flower crowns for my bridesmaids and flower girls, but I love rose gold so I found some gorgeous earrings (Grace Loves Lace) and a couple of lovely rose gold/pearl hair
pieces online. The veil was easy, so simple but worked perfectly with the dress. Veil was bought from Bridal Boutique. Shoes, I have super wide feet so I just found a pair of rose golf small-heeled sandals from New Look,
perfect as I wore them all day/evening with so much dancing!

Did you have Bridesmaids?
I wanted a range of colours for my 6 bridesmaids. Personally, I don’t like having an identical ‘tribe’ as everyone is different. I wanted them to be comfortable and wear the shape that suited them, as long as the colour worked. I went for a blush/dusty pink but chucked 2 deep purple ones in there to break it up slightly. They looked great! I had one in Ghost, 1 in Monsoon, 1 from H&M, 1 was FreePeople and 2 were ASOS.

What did your groom wear?
He went for a navy suit, blush coloured shirt and navy shoes. The ushers worse similar but chino’s and no jacket.

Finally, tell us about your big day ..
Where do you start, it was just magical. I was pretty chilled as it didn’t start until 4pm so we had all day to get ready! We were in a hotel so the bridesmaids & flower girls came over for lunch, we had hair & makeup
throughout the day (Ala – https://www.alamakeup.com/). Walking down the aisle is such an out of body experience. I wasn’t too nervous, more excited! But I don’t think you can ever prepare yourself for it. We had an AMAZING band from the UK, Synergy. They are all Spanish so it fitted perfectly. They played acoustically throughout the ceremony (Ellie Goulding, how long will I love you was our aisle song, then Jason Mraz, I’m Yours as we walked out). My sister took the ceremony (as we were officially married the week before in UK). She was brilliant!! Most hilarious ceremony, even doing each other’s jager bomb as a symbol of our love. Reception was in a beautiful garden of the finca, with the 2 cliffs either side. We didn’t have starters, instead we had ‘stations’ throughout the reception, everyone stuffed their faces, so much food! It was just incredible food, El Jardin caterers, strongly recommend, they were outstanding. Without a doubt, my favourite moment was walking out to dinner. We walked through an archway into dinner, all 150 guests waving napkins in the air and the band following us around the courtyard playing ‘Bamboleo by Gipsy Kings’, just hilarious. I was totally blown away. We also did a 30 second routine for our first dance to ‘You Make my Dreams by Daryl Hall & John Oates. Just couldn’t stop smiling/laughing throughout. Without a doubt, my dream wedding came true!!
