Thankyou again Madi, for all your help with finding my perfect dress and veil – I truly felt like a princess.
We got married on Friday 31st March 2023. It was the best day ever, even despite the awful rain!
Harry and I met when we were 14 and almost 12 years later, we’re finally Mr and Mrs! We got engaged on 21st December 2021.
As my Christmas present, Harry took me to Edinburgh to visit the pandas as these are my most favourite thing ever and have been since I was tiny (and the first time I’d ever seen one in real life!) Little did I know, our trip to the zoo is where Harry planned to propose – an absolutely magical day.
The wedding plans got underway quickly and after visiting about 6 venues, we finally found the perfect one for us at Blackwell Grange in Shipston on Stour.
From when I was old enough to think about it, I always knew I wanted a ‘simple’ dress with a train and long veil. Before visiting your shop, I’d previously seen one online that I went and tried but it definitely wasn’t the one. A few days after that appointment, my dress to be pooped up on your Instagram page and I knew it had to try it and was 95% sure I’d found it before even trying it on!
Myself and my Mom visited the shop the next week, tried it on with Madi and bought it on the spot! Madi filled me with confidence and made me feel amazing. It was near perfect fit and was exactly what i’d pictured. This was the second and only dress I’d properly tried!
Our wedding day followed suit, it was simple and minimalistic, white flowers with lots of greenery, candles and greenery for the table decorations and our hexagon back drop handmade by Harry’s Step Dad.
The bridesmaids dressed in dove grey/lilac and groomsmen in black tie, everything I’d pictured seem to fall into place perfectly.
My advice would be to follow your heart and do what suits you. I almost had my hair in an up do, because I felt like that’s what the dress needed and people kept telling me I should but in a last minute decision, I went with my gut and had my hair down in Hollywood waves and absolutely loved it – it went perfectly with my makeup and accessories and was exactly the look I wanted.
Our amazing photographer was Ashley at Monkeymole photography and he supplied a second photographer. Hair and makeup was done by the fabulous Hannah Louise Field. Our florist was Angie at The Flower Tower Florist. The cake and donuts were supplied by Bruno’s Bakery.
