Tell us about your wedding where was it set and what was the feel of the day.
Our wedding was set at No.131 in Cheltenham! Which was not the original plan, but after all the restrictions and upset I couldn’t have wished for a better day! It was chilled, relaxed but full of love and emotion with our nearest and dearest!
What made you pick your dress?
My dress made me feel elegant yet a little cheeky with the open slit down the bust! After trying on several dresses even at another shop nothing compared to my beautiful Jesus Piero!!
What did you love about dress shopping?
Madi was so friendly and down to earth! I felt relaxed from the off! I had had a baby a couple of months or so before looking at trying dresses on and as my body confidence had been shot my partner suggested I start looking at dresses! Madi was able to put me in dresses that actually fitted me and didn’t make me feel fat which made me feel prettier and really helped with my confidence! Especially when we found the dress I chose!
Tell us about the proposal?
My husband and I went traveling in July 2018 where we drove 2,500 miles, exploring France, Belgium, Switzerland and Italy! While in Switzerland we visited the Rhone Glacier which had an ice cave! With no idea… while walking around the cave then back into the Centre to find my husband to be on one knee! The rest of the trip I was just on cloud 9!
How did you style your day, and yourself?
I just wanted everything to be fairly simple and classy. No bold or bright colours, just neutral soft tones that blended well. No 131 already have a beautiful canvas, which needed very little adding to it! We had beautiful floral displays added to the room and candles! Simple yet so effective!
What advice would you give to brides now?
My advice to brides right now would be to remember why you are doing all of this! We dream of a big wedding with everyone being there, but an intimate small wedding still results in the same outcome- marriage! We had the big wedding booked, I was so excited, could not wait! But with so many restrictions we felt our venue was going to be too big for 30 people. So as so many people have done, why didn’t we push it back? Because we just wanted to be married!!!!!! Pushing back, doesn’t mean it will 100% happen then, how many times do we keep pushing it back before we finally decide to just get married! Our family are healthy happy and here, and we wanted them there with us! Our wedding day was the perfect day for US and I just want others to book and plan the perfect day for YOU, whether that’s 15 people or 150! Our family and friends don’t need another excuse to get together when we all can – and neither do we!! Another excuse to wear that beautiful dress though!!
