Caitlin & Chris had a stunning intimate wedding.

Jesus Peiro Bride Warwickshire
Caitlin was a dream bride for me, she just trusted us totally. This may not be imprtant. to a lot of brides, but actually is one of the main reasons brides come to us. They know we can make a dress customised to exactly what is in their head but also know that we will look after them every step of the way.

Tell us about your day?

Our wedding day was originally planned for May 16th 2020, but COVID caused us to postpone it. We postponed to 7th November 2020 thinking everything would be all over – I had this gut feeling beginning of Sept that we weren’t going to get married. On Tuesday 22nd Sept Boris made the announcement that as of Monday 28th Sept wedding numbers would reduce to 15 guests. My sister put a suggestion out there and suggested we get married on 26th Sept with 30 guests before the numbers went down – just three days away. I put these suggestion to all our suppliers and they all said yes. I still had my dress to be fitted, even though I had bought it 18 months earlier. My sister knew a seamstress and I drove late after work on 23rd to have it fitted – she managed to turn it around in 1 day and it was perfect. The caterers pulled off a fab 4 course meal which we originally planned. We changed venues to a friends old farmhouse and had a tipi in the back garden so we could socially distance outside. The photographers gave up their children’s birthday to photograph our day (being their first wedding of the year).

It wasn’t what we originally planned, but it was better! We were lucky enough my dad flew from France for 3 days to walk me down the aisle and all out siblings and ushers were able to attend with the number being 30 guests.
It was such a relaxed day, making the most of seeing family and friends considering we hadn’t seen anyone for 6 months due to this pandemic.

What made you pick your dress?

Madi knew exactly what style would suit me and I trusted her completely. As soon as I put the dress on that she recommended, I was in love with it.

What did you love about dress shopping?
I didn’t – I am not a keen shopper anyway. But it was special having my mum and sisters there to see my chosen dress.

Tell us about the proposal?
26th August 2018. Chris organised to meet up for lunch with his mother as we hadn’t seen her in a while – we discussed walking our two dogs before and I left him to organise a dog walk close to where we were meeting his mother. He ended up taking us back to walk the dogs where we had our first date (27th March 2015). It was pouring it with rain and windy as ever – exactly like our first date. As we turned around to head back to the car he pulled me back and as I turned round he was on one knee.

What advice would you give to brides now?

We originally planned a big wedding and ended up having a micro intimate wedding of 30 guests due to the pandemic. We had such a wonderful day and having such an intimate wedding meant it was that much more special. We decided to cancel our big party in 2021. We thought we could never replicate the day and that we would just throw small gathering when we were allowed.
